Teaching Methodology
Every teacher develops a particular way of going about the complex task of teaching. They are expected to assist each other during the teaching and learning process .
Methodology is a way / path on which to tread on with a mission. Teaching methodology is the style of interaction with the students in class or outside classroom. A teaching method comprises of the principles and methods used by teachers to enable students' learning. These strategies are determined partly on subject matter to be taught and partly by the nature of the learner. The approaches for teaching can be broadly classified into teacher centred and student centred. It's the methods in which one addresses student learning. Teaching Methodology encompasses the principles and methods used by teachers to empower student's success within the classroom. These strategies enacted are determined by the subject and the learner. There are different types of teaching methods which can be categorised into four broad types.
Effective teaching can be defined in many ways including teacher behaviour (warmth, civility, clarity), teacher knowledge (of subject matter, of students), teachers' beliefs, and so forth.
