Academic Background
Academic achievement is important for the successful development of young people in society. Students who do well in school are better able to make the transition into adulthood and to achieve occupational and economic success.
Mine begins with the rural set up. My early education started in village where we children used to go to the schools with cotton 'JHOLA' (bag) and own sitting carpet made up of jute. we studied since 7 am in the morning till 5 pm in the evening. We were just engaged in the schools so that parents remain free.
The journey of early education passed through middle school to high school in a suburban town of then Gaya District (Bihar) and then to university (Magadh University) for Intermediate (now senior secondary).
A turning point in formal education came when selection was made in Regional College of Education, Bhubaneshawr, Odisha (a constituent Unit of NCERT) affiliated to Utkal University for the graduation. I offered B A B Ed (with English Honours) 4 years integrated course. I poured in the best of dedication I had to come out with the flying colours. And yes, I did.
Post graduation in English Literature was completed as a private candidate from PG College Alirajpur, MP affiliated to DAVV, Indore with meritorious percentage.
The purpose of writing the academic progression does not mean to let the people know what has been scored rather to share the zeal an individual can have to sore high if one wished so.
When I was a child, I was greatly mesmerised by the wonders of English language. Seeing people speak this language & command the vicinity interposed in me a kind of barbiturate which led to learn this language at last. I turned all the possible pebbles to gather rolling moss of English language efficiency. And lo! Now I am an English language teacher. A teacher of his own kind !
Use of multimedia (and web based learning) is a kind of opium that keeps me always dosed off. I dream of my children speaking this language so confidently and so fluently that the people who see them must feel 'who has taught them'. And, of course, I am endeavouring with this sole mission. Even my junior students are now, within a very short time span, able to converse in English and respond to the queries boldly.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that every man in possession of a prolific mission never looks back. Why should I? Days are not yonder when I and my students both will walk hand in hand along the streets of a city with envying confidence.
